Amon Preserve and Tapteal Greenway

Dear Friends of Amon Community Preserve and Tapteal Greenway,

This is the last call for donations for the TGA October 13 Silent Auction.

Donated items have been slow to accumulate this year.  We need more contributions of interesting, upscale services or items (no junk, please) to make our fundraiser a success. How about tickets to upcoming events? Perhaps some recreational equipment? Maybe a holiday-related (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) item to help us earn some much-needed funds? Possibly gift certificates to your favorite restaurant or other merchants?

These donations are tax-deductible, so everyone benefits.  Please ask your favorite business to donate, too—we will gladly provide letters with our non-profit tax ID number when you ask us.

And of course, mark your calendar and join us for Tapteal Greenway Association's annual Celebration on Saturday, October 13 starting at 6:30 p.m. at beautiful Kiona Vineyards Winery (http://www.kionawine.com/) in Benton City. Tapteal Greenway will provide free award–winning wines, soft drinks, appetizers, and desserts. You do NOT need to be a member of Tapteal Greenway to attend, though of course we hope you’ll consider joining TGA. This year we are asking that you bring someone new to the event.

Come have some fun relaxing in a beautiful setting.  Learn about Tapteal’s progress in recreation, conservation, and conservation efforts along the Lower Yakima River. Also help us honor the Tri-City Conservationists of the Year for 2012.

To get you thinking, here are some items donated to our Silent Auctions in past years:

Chukkar Cherry basket
Holiday-related items (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
Kiddy birthday party at Atomic Bowl
Blue Mountain getaway weekend
Custom handmade jewelry
Silverwood Theme Park passes for 2013
Custom bird houses
Scentsy Candles
Autographed books by local authors
John Clement prints
Baskets filled with goodies
Garden planters
Guided fishing, river tours, hikes, wine tasting
Gift certificates to local businesses
Mugs and Gevalia coffee
Weekend at Leavenworth condo
Herb basket: garden pots, tools, labels, seeds
Greenie’s Sports Basket
Starbuck’s coffee gift card
Certificates for massage/pedicure/manicure etc.
Local spirits, wine, and beer

If you plan to donate but have not yet made your specific selections, please contact Kathy Dechter at 627-0950 or kdechter@charter.net so we can save space for your items.  We will also gladly arrange to pick them up.  Deadline for donations is Saturday, Oct. 6.

Please forward to anyone else who might be interested in donating.
