Tour guides needed

NEEDED: Volunteers to help guide Tapteal Greenway's Annual Amon Wildlands Walk – Saturday, May 12

Who: Guides to lead small groups from station to station and keep their group on time.

When: Saturday, May 12, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m

Tours leave at ten-minute intervals beginning at 9 a.m.

The last tour leaves at 10 a.m.

Guides please arrive by 8:30 a.m.

Where: Claybell Park, South Richland –Bellerive Drive
NO presenting or knowledge of Amon flora and fauna required –although certainly helpful. Two guides to a group. An orientation will be provided during the preceding week. Unending gratitude also furnished.

The total distance covered is just over a mile and a half. Your primary responsibilities are to:

· Keep your group moving and guide them to the next station

· Keep the station keeper (presenter) aware of the time with a 2-minute, then a 30-second warning

· Leave for the next station on time

Tour groups will leave Claybell Park in South Richland on a 1-1/2 mile circuit of 7 distinct stations, where expert station keepers will give 10-minute presentations on Amon plants, birds, geology, and wildlife.

This annual event gives the community an opportunity to walk and learn about the wonders of Amon Basin.

Can you help? If so, please contact Kathy Dechter at 627-0950 or Kdechter@charter.net
